07/17/2003 Entry: "eugene richards, storytelling"

I took a lot from the workshop and am only beginning to digest everything that came of it.

One of the more apropros articles I read since coming back is The Case Against Zooms. Having ditched my zoom lenses and digital camera for a single camera, a standard lens and a wide angle, I standardized my kit, and kept things as simple as possible. Learning how to see the way different fixed lenses see the world allows you to use them to their fullest potential, and as Mike Johnston puts it, simply learn how to visualize better.
