"There is nothing that might be against them: no yesterday, no morrow; for time is shattered. And they flower from its ruins." -Rainer Maria Rilke

This is my old bathroom in Washington, DC, there are pictures on the wall that are wrinkled from repeated shower-steam exposure.

Jon Sampson from the Weakerthans writes really fantastic lyrics that mix the personal, poetic, and political, and I think this web log is (or maybe more so, I am) looking for a similar balance. .

Right now, I'm twenty-three years old, and have just moved to Portland, Oregon (as of September, 2001). I'm working on starting my own business, and figuring out my life. Charlene's well on her way to becoming a doctor. I'm excited about doing things my own way, and making my own choices without having to answer to anyone.

I want to take great photographs, design some great web sites, and keep my worries to important things only.

And I don't think I'll ever stop listening to the Minutemen's History Lesson Part II.
